The heart of cross-flow filters is a hollow fiber or ceramic membrane, through which the liquid to be treated is fed at low pressure and cross-flow.

Through this system the product crosses the membrane and comes out as a smooth permeate, while the solid components are retained and continuously removed from the filtering surface by the effect of the motion that is generated on it: thus there is filtration with a stable flow rate.

The FTS-BE (F-23) series includes basic models available from one to four modules. This is the smallest and most compact version of our range, ideal for example for small businesses.
The filtration process is automatic, the operator intervenes manually for: starting the machine, opening the valves, switching on the pumps, adding the washing additives and stopping the machine. Lastly, the FTS-BE tangential system features a timer which periodically (based on the set parameters) warns the operator to intervene for “back washing”, i.e. for cleaning the membrane.

The full range of Spadoni’s cross-flow systems includes, in addition to the FTS-BE model, two other variants:

1. Spadoni’s FTS-SA cross-flow filter: semi-automated, with automatic filtration and counter-washing cycles; available from 4 to 12 modules.
2. Spadoni’s FTS-TOP cross-flow filter: fully automated in all processing phases, from filling to unloading and washing; available from 12 to 50 modules.
