Our tunnel pasteurizers (C-45) are built with 18-10 stainless steel (AISI 304) and are completed by fully inspectable external heat exchangers and cooling tunnels. Upon request, they can be fully automated.
The pasteurizers can be built to work both continuously or in batches, and using both steam or water circulation.
A fundamental step in the food production chain to guarantee a quality product, the thermal pasteurization process – unlike that of sterilization – is able to protect the health of the consumer while maintaining the nutritional properties of the processed aliment.
In pasteurization, the product is subjected to a high temperature – up to 100°C – for several minutes. This eliminates any pathogenic microorganisms present, thus guaranteeing the uncontaminated conservation of the product.
In general, tunnel pasteurizers are structured in several sections: heating, pasteurization and cooling. The heating and cooling sections are designed to optimize energy consumption, and the pasteurization sections to maintain the right pasteurization unit ratio.
